Where am I?

So you graduated from high school and made it into college/university. You’re excited for the endless possibilities of your new found independence! You’ve got 4 whole years to grow and learn until you finally graduate into the world of work. You’re excited! After the final year, you’re bright-eyed and bushy-tailed; ready to get out there and show ‘em what you’ve got! (Great!) Except the reality is that most graduates do not end up in their chosen fields due to high competition, economy and jobs available, become under-employed, end up returning to school to either change their degree or upgrade (thus spending more money) and a lot of us are still living at home…(or end up moving back!)

Truth is, it is difficult to get out there and get a real job. A job that moves you; a job that ends up being exactly how you imagined, and a job that makes you genuinely happy—be it because of money or making a difference in the world. Although a dash of optimism is essential to maintain while on the job hunt (as I have tried time and time again), I experienced a lot of bumps along the ride and it has left me frustrated and astonished at what I kept encountering in my hunt for my dream job. I have thus decided to create a site where graduates can acquire insight and support after graduation in their journey of finding work; as well as employers who can learn a thing or two when it comes to graduates.

Enjoy!
